Eye News

After 5 hours at Moran Eye Center, we know many things Diana does not have. They ruled out everything else but Cranial 3 palsy via tests and exams. And Doctor Digre says she will go over all images today again to be sure that she didn’t miss anything.

The good news: Diana has full vision function in both eyes.

The challenging news: Diana has double vision due to the Cranial Nerve 3 Palsy. Her left eye is unable to focus straight or dilate normally. Her eyelid stays about halfway up and her pupil is a little deviant to the left. Since the left eye does not move with the right, she sees two images that overlap a bit.

Please continue to pray that the nerve will heal fully. Frankly the doctor says she cannot predict that.  But the fact that our Rehab doctor has seen strength growing in that eye over the last week gives her hope. For now they have clouded her left glasses lense to give her relief from the double vision. They also will most likely add a prism lenses in March to bend the light and give her left eye a chance to line up better. The damage may be permanent but she says that Diana most likely will gain at least more function over time if not all.
